Jacksonville police have possible suspect in early morning shooting

Little information has been released, but Jacksonville police said they have a possible suspect in an early morning shooting with the victim critically wounded.

It happened about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 11000 block of Whistlewood Court off Monument Road. Police said they located the victim and multiple witnesses. The victim, whose age and gender were not provided, was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they don’t believe there are any outstanding suspects but did not explain what may have led up to the shooting.
