Recently renovated, Woody’s Bar-B-Q of Ponte Vedra Beach has a new look, owners and an expanded role in the popular restaurant chain.
The newly acquired corporate store — Woody’s Bar-B-Que of Ponte Vedra Beach — now will be the base for franchise training operations in addition to serving up the chain’s classic Southern barbecue.

A new Alice in Wonderland-themed restaurant is opening in the same historic building as Sweet Pete’s Candy in downtown Jacksonville.
10/Six Grille’s grand opening is Oct. 4 at 400 N. Hogan St.

The Ferber Company based in Ponte Vedra Beach plans a 11,500 square foot developement including Panera Bread, Chipolte and Bento AsianKitchen & Sushi at Brooklyn Place along Riverside Avenue in Jacksonville. The city issued building permits in September for $1.78 million in construction costs on about an 1½ acres of land at adjacent 10 Riverside Ave. and 50 Riverside Ave. in the Brooklyn neighborhood. Construction is expected to be completed and the businesses open by summer 2020.
