IIM Kashipur is all set to organize Uttishtha, the biggest startup mela of Uttarakhand. The fair will be held on 20th October 2019. The move by IIM Kashipur is aligned with the Government of India’s initiative started in 2011 to become the world’s largest start-up hub. Presently, in terms of the number of start-up companies, India holds the record of being the third-largest ‘startup’ ecosystem in the world. With Uttishtha 2019, the country can inch a step closer to achieving its goal in the near future.
The start-up fair will be held in IIM Kashipur campus and is going to be the flagship event of the Entrepreneurship Cell of the premier MBA institute. The fair is going to serve as a great opportunity for those who wish to turn their entrepreneurial aspirations into reality. IIM Kashipur is hosting the event in collaboration with State Bank of India, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Startup Uttarakhand, Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Science and Technology, Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (FIED) and other prominent players of the industry.
To assist startups in their endeavours, the event is being organized where more than 100 startup owners are participating to show their innovative products to the general public. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend this showpiece event, Uttishtha 2019. This event will witness a bevy of entrepreneurs with more than 10 years of start-up experience, startup investors, government officials, and certain other elements of the startup ecosystem, all under one roof.
Besides the start-up exhibition, Uttishtha will also include more than 10 events such as panel discussions, cultural activities, talk shows of successful entrepreneurs and a chance to meet real-life entrepreneurs to discuss career choices. This event will allow children and parents alike, to get a glimpse into the world of entrepreneurship and what it has to offer. Aspiring entrepreneurs can visit the fair on 20th October 2019.
