JEE Advanced 2019: The Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar will be conducting an Open House for the candidates who have qualified the examinations. The open house will be for the students as well as their parents enlightening them about the different branches of engineering available at the different IIT’s and the career options adjoining them.
With this, the candidates will be able to gain a better understanding of the education system of the IIT’s and also tell them a little more about IIT Gandhinagar. The open house to be conducted by IIT Gandhinagar will give the candidates an opportunity to interact with the faculty members, the students and the alumni of the Institute of technology, and also understand the innovative practices followed by IIT Gandhinagar.
To participate for the open house interested candidates are required to register themselves on the IIT Gandhinagar website. The open house this year will be conducted in three different locations. The first open house will be held in Delhi on June 22, 2019, at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nipccd Campus, Hauz Khas. The second open house will be held on June 23, 2019, in Mumbai at Walchand Hirachand Hall, Churchgate and the third open house will be conducted at the IIT Gandhinagar campus.
The open house to be conducted in Delhi will commence at 10 AM while the open house to be conducted in Mumbai will be held at 3 PM. The students participating in the open house will also get an opportunity to interact with the Dean of Student Affairs at IIT Gandhinagar Prof. Harish PM.
Prof. Pratik Mutha, Dean (Academic Affairs) at IIT Gandhinagar while talking about the objectives of the open house said that it is aimed to address the doubts and queries in the minds of the students and their parents with regard to the different disciplines, course structures, activities and the opportunities provided at the institutions which will help them in taking the correct decision.
The Open House at IIT Gandhinagar campus will include a campus tour, sessions with the Director of IIT Gandhinagar, Prof. Sudhir Jain, and other senior faculty members including the dean of academic affairs and associate dean of student welfare and the faculty, students and alumni from the institute. Students participating in Delhi and Mumbai will be able to interact with the Dean of Student Affairs, the coordinator for Alumni Relations, and also the students and alumni at IIT Gandhinagar.
The open house sessions will also enable the students to learn more about vision, innovative curriculum and the student-centric activities of IIT Gandhinagar.
