Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2019: Candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be granted admission to medical and dental colleges in the state on the basis of their NEET UG scores. The counselling process for the state medical and dental seats is overseen by J & K Board of Professional Entrance Exam (JKBOPEE). J & K candidates are not eligible to participate in the counselling for the 15% All India Quota seats as the state has opted out from the national level NEET counselling. The candidates from the state, however, are fully entitled for admission to state medical and dental colleges on the basis of their NEET UG scores. Such candidates are not required to fill any self-declaration form as opposed to the candidates whose parents work in Jammu and Kashmir but are not permanent residents of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Candidates who qualified in the NEET UG examination will be included in the J & K MBBS merit list 2019 prepared by the JKBOPEE. Candidates included in this merit list will be eligible for the process of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS 2019 document verification conducted by the Board. Such candidates will be required to report to the BOPEE office with the required documents. Once, the document verification process is over, a final merit list will be prepared by JKBOPEE, and the candidates from this list will be eligible to participate in the process of counselling. The admission of candidates to the Government as well as Private colleges in the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted by JKBOPEE on the basis of NEET UG scores.
NEET UG result was declared on 5th June, 2019. Jammu and Kashmir candidates who qualified in the entrance test are required to fill in the J & K MBBS application form 2019 and pay the application fee to be called for document verification process. The counselling process for admission to J & K MBBS 2019 is expected to begin by the first week of July 2019.
