Medina FFA participates in leadership conference

Medina FFA Chapter Reporter

The Medina FFA had 19 members participate in the events at District 6 Leadership Conference on Wednesday, Oct. 2. In the parliamentary procedure event Derek Reister, Calli Mack, Brittany Reister, Abby Helm, Billy VanEpps and Ben Juelfsl participated and they all earned a silver award in the event.

The quiz team, consisting of Billy VanEpps, Derek Reister, Calli Mack, Brooke Reister and foreign exchange student Merry Wotte, all earned bronze awards in the event which earned them a bronze team award.

In the greenhand quiz event, Roper Foerderer and Madison Hofmann earned gold awards, Kelsey Vandeberghe and Cale Redlin earned silver awards, and Cyenna Garrett, Kameron Bodvig, Kennedy Behm, Madilyn Schlecht and Cierra Mack received bronze awards. The participants's cores earned them fourth place as a team. Brittany Reister participated in the Employment Skills contest and earned a silver award. Kelsey Vandeberghe was the creed speaker and received a bronze award. Billy VanEpps demonstrated how to clean a carburetor and received a bronze award. Gracie Gunderson was the extemporaneous public speaker and earned herself a gold award. The members learned new skills while they were at the conference.
