WAUBAY, S.D. — The Day County Sheriff's Office and state Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating the drowning of a 2-year-old child in the Waubay area, said Tim Bormann, chief of staff for South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Bormann said the drowning did not happen at a lake.
No other information was immediately available.
