Ikea announced June 3 that it reopened its Jacksonville location for in-store shopping.

The store is at 7801 Gate Parkway near Interstate 295.

The Ikea restaurant and children’s play area will remain closed, according to a notice on its website. The Ikea bistro will be open for to-go orders only. The store’s Click and Collect service will continue to be available for shoppers to order online and pick up their items at the store.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. There will be special hours for seniors and at-risk customers from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

New safety measures are in place at the store. Employees will be provided personal protective equipment; the number of visitors to the store will be monitored; social distancing will be in effect in the store and in lines;  and hand sanitizer stations will be available.

Customers are encouraged to wear face coverings and follow personal hygiene guidelines in the store.

In-home delivery services are suspended, but orders can be delivered to customers’ doorsteps.

Ikea closed March 16. Furloughed employees were brought back May 22 to prepare the store for reopening and fulfill curbside pickup orders.
