A few hours after the initial post, Frankfort police updated it to indicate they have spoken with McGuire, and she and her children were safe. The post thanked the public for its assistance.

McGuire wasn't reported missing until Wednesday, according to a comment from Frankfort police on its Facebook post about McGuire in response to a citizen's concern for the five-week delay in filing the missing-persons report.
