Starting Saturday, June 29 from 10 to 11 a.m. come join the first in a series of three gardening workshops at the Burlington Library, 321 14th St. in Burlington. In the first workshop, come learn about pollinators. What are different types of pollinators? Are Mason bees pollinators? Take home useful fact sheet(s) on what to add to your landscape to increase pollinators at your property.
Then on Saturday, July 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. join us again to learn about watering correctly for trees, perennials, turf and vegetables. Included in this workshop will be information on mulching and mulches. Watering properly is a useful technique. Do you overwater your plants? Do you underwater your plants? Mulching helps reduce watering.
In the final workshop in the series, on Aug. 10, from 10 to 11 a.m., come learn about fall vegetable gardening and fall clean-up and next year’s preparation. Learn why it is better for some crops to wait until fall to grow the crop.
