A real-life treasure hunt for $2,000 will take place in Milwaukee Wednesday

Money will be hidden around Milwaukee on Wednesday

If you ever wanted to go on a real-life treasure hunt to discover actual riches, Wednesday is your lucky day. 

Breakout Games, which owns an escape room off West Capitol Drive and North 124th Street in Brookfield, will be coordinating a treasure hunt in Milwaukee, giving away a total of $2,000. 

Between 5 and 8 p.m. Breakout Games will release the coordinates for $100 bills hidden throughout the city every 30 minutes. 

Treasure hunters will be able to receive the coordinates on Breakout Games' website and the Breakout Games Milwaukee Facebook page. 

The treasure hunt will take place in the Kilbourne Reservoir/ Kadish Park area, according to a Facebook page for the event. 

Milwaukeeans can also text MILWAUKEEHUNT to 31996 to receive updates about the hunt.
