Summerfest 2019 reveals BMO Harris Pavilion headliners: Brandi Carlile, the Roots, Jason Mraz and more

"Tonight Show" hip-hop crew the Roots, breezy singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, powerhouse vocalist Brandi Carlile and R&B legend Chaka Khan are among the 15 headliners announced for Summerfest's BMO Harris Pavilion Tuesday.

The Milwaukee music festival stage also will host headliners X Ambassadors, Foreigner, Elle King and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Chicago, with one more stage headliner to be announced.

Brandi Carlile will headline Summerfest's BMO Harris Pavilion June 28.

The BMO Harris Pavilion headliner schedule is as follows

June 26: Foreigner (10 p.m.)

June 27: Elle King (9:45 p.m.); Foghat (4 p.m.)

June 28: Brandi Carlile (9:45 p.m.)

June 29: Chicago (9:45 p.m.)

June 30: TBA (9:45 p.m.)

July 2: Chaka Khan (9:45 p.m.)

July 3: The Roots (9:45 p.m.)

July 4: X Ambassadors (9:45 p.m.)

July 5: Dashboard Confessional (9:45 p.m.); the Spinners (4 p.m.)

July 6: Dark Star Orchestra (8 p.m.)

July 7: Jason Mraz (9:45 p.m.)

The majority of the venue's 5,000 seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but a limited number of reserved seats for each closing night concert will be available for $30 (plus fees) at the Summerfest box office (200 N. Harbor Drive) and at ticketmaster.com. 

Tickets go on sale for these shows on the following dates and times: 

  • Foreigner, June 26 (on sale 10 a.m. May 13)
  • Elle King, June 27 (on sale noon May 13)
  • Brandi Carlile, June 28 (on sale 10 a.m. May 14)
  • Chicago, June 29 (on sale noon May 14)
  • Chaka Khan, July 2 (on sale 10 a.m. May 15)
  • The Roots, July 3 (on sale noon May 15)
  • X Ambassadors, July 4 (on same 10 a.m. May 16)
  • Dashboard Confessional, July 5 (on sale noon May 16)
  • Dark Star Orchestra, July 6 (on sale 10 a.m. May 17)
  • Jason Mraz, July 7 (on sale noon May 17)

Summerfest general-admission tickets are available now at summerfest.com, priced between $15 (for weekday admission between noon and 4 p.m.) and $23 for all other days and times. Summerfest also typically offers several promotional deals that include free or discounted admission; those deals have yet to be announced for 2019. 

Multi-day general-admission passes are available on the Summerfest site as well, for $57 for three days, or $120 for 11 days.

General admission passes do not include access to American Family Insurance Amphitheater shows, which are priced separately. Tickets are on sale for 10 of the 11 amphitheater shows for 2019, with the July 4 show to be announced.

The world's largest music festival revealed 133 headliners earlier this month, and kicked off this year's daily stage headliner announcements Monday with the Miller Lite Oasis.
