Milwaukee police identify victims in 5 recent homicides

A man who was shot to death on Milwaukee's north side was identified by police Tuesday as Montrell T.  Marks, 22.

Marks was shot shortly before 3 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of North 48th Street, according to police.

He was shot after an altercation with a "domestic partner." A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and a firearm was recovered, police said.

Police on Tuesday also released the names of four other homicide victims.

According to police:

  • Andreana T. Manney, 17, was shot shortly after 11:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in a killing that has been ruled an act of self-defense.
  • Jamie A. Wilson, 36, was stabbed shortly before 11:30 a.m. during a domestic violence incident. Police were seeking a suspect Tuesday.
  • Human remains recovered about 6 a.m. Jan. 19 from a fire at a vacant house in the 4400 block of North 44th Street have been identified as those of Jimmie Gray, 67. Police were still seeking suspects Tuesday.
  • William E. Jones, 42, was shot about 1 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 100 block of South 70th Street. Police were still seeking suspects Tuesday.
