Man found dead in north Minneapolis home

According to police, the victim appeared to have been shot.

MINNEAPOLIS — A homicide investigation is underway in the Jordan neighborhood of north Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Police say they were called to the 2700 block of Irving Avenue North Thursday night just before 11:30 p.m. Officers found a man, who appeared to have been shot, dead inside a home.

Homicide Investigators came to the scene to check for any witnesses, evidence or surveillance video while the Crime Lab collected evidence from the home.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will release the victim's name and cause of death.
