LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local Dollar Tree store was targeted in a Monday night robbery.
The Little Rock Police Department says it happened minutes after workers closed the 2602 Cantrell Rd. store in the city’s Riverdale area.
Officers were called to the scene around 9:10 p.m. and spoke to two workers who reported the suspect walked up as they were leaving the business and ordered them back inside. The police report does not note if the suspect was a man or a woman.
The workers told police they saw a pistol grip in the suspect’s waistband and said the suspect threatened to shoot them if they did not cooperate.
Once back inside the store, the suspect ordered them to open the safe and then took the cash that was inside.
One of the workers reported the suspect took their cell phone on their way out of the store but then dropped it outside before running away.
The suspect was described as wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing except for a long red, white and blue shirt.
