Texas A&M Commandant confirms Cadet died in car crash

Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Commandant confirms the 22 year-old killed a in a car crash Saturday was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Nathan Matos was a senior History major from New Jersey in the College of Liberal Arts and served as the Logistics Officer on Corps Staff.

"All who knew Nathan will remember him as a confident and personable young man who had a resilient work ethic and a good sense of humor. He was a very well-liked young man, and his loss will affect all of us for a long time to come," Brigadier General Joe E. Ramirez said.

An Echo Taps will take place Tuesday evening at 11:00 p.m. to honor Matos, and details for a memorial service are being planned now.
