A 17-year-old has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of a woman whose body was dumped in the middle of a West Des Moines road. In court documents filed Thursday, Eliazar Montoya Gama, of Des Moines, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges. He also waived his right to a speedy trial. Gama picked up 18-year-old Sakira Bonner earlier this month at the Holiday Inn on Mills Civic Parkway because she wanted to buy marijuana, according to online court records. Bonner was then beaten, robbed and shot numerous times, a criminal complaint charges. Gama allegedly left her body in the middle of the street on Coachlight Drive. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Twenty-year-old Johndarius Lewis, of Des Moines, 16-year-old D’Taveon Gully, of Fort Dodge, and a 15-year-old juvenile also face charges.
