Pleasant Hill police say a house fire impacted the morning commute. The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Fairview Drive.Police asked that motorists use University Avenue instead of Fairview Drive, which turns into Dean Avenue heading into Des Moines. Fairview Drive was blocked as crews worked the fire.Police told KCCI the home was vacant at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Pleasant Hill police say a house fire impacted the morning commute.
The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Fairview Drive.

Police asked that motorists use University Avenue instead of Fairview Drive, which turns into Dean Avenue heading into Des Moines. Fairview Drive was blocked as crews worked the fire.
Police told KCCI the home was vacant at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries reported.
