EMILY: OVER THE LAST YEAR, FOUR FAMILIES SHARED THEIR JOURNEYS, OF LIVING LIFE AFTER THE CAMP FIRE WITH KCRA 3 REPORTER VICKI GONZALEZ. EMILY: AND MOMENTS OF TRIUMPH, THE AUDIENCE ERUPTING IN APPLAUSE, WHEN THE DOCUMENTARY HIGHLIGHTED THE FOOTBALL TEAM’S UNDEFEATED SEASON. The KCRA 3 News documentary “Return to Paradise” premiered at the Paradise Performing Arts Center on Wednesday.Over the last year, four families shared their journeys of life after the Camp Fire.Many in the audience said their stories provided some of the hope and resilience they’d been seeking.“I think it’s good to see other people struggling but also going out of it,” said Lisa Cervantes, who lost her family home in Magalia. “It gives me hope. We’re struggling, but we’ve got a lot of help.”KCRA 3 Anchor Gulstan Dart and Vicki Gonzalez held a question and answer session with the families and audience after the documentary aired.“It was inspiring to see that people are recovering from the fire and not giving up,” said Ryan Brinkman, from Butte County.The documentary can be watched here.
