THERE ARE ABOUT 20 ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE GANG. KELLIE: NEW TONIGHT SACRAMENTO , POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR 3 MEN, THEY SAY BEAT ANOTHER MAN, WHO DIED DAYS LATER AT THE HOSPITAL. POLICE SAY THE ASSAULT HAPPENED WHILE THE MAN WAS WALKING ON FREEPORT BOULEVARD, BETWEEN FLORIN ROAD AND MEADOWVIEW ROAD LAST WEDNESDAY. THAT’S WHEN POLICE SAY THE MAN WAS ASSAULTED AND LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. THE NEXT DAY, THE VICTIM TOOK HIMSELF TO THE HOSPITAL, WHERE HE WAS ADMITTED. POLICE TELL US THAT HE DIED THREE DAYS LATER. HIS NAME HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED

Sacramento police are searching for three men in connection with a deadly assault in south Sacramento.The victim was attacked Wednesday while walking on Freeport Boulevard, between Florin and Meadowview roads, Sacramento police said Monday.The man suffered serious injuries, including multiple facial fractures, and lost consciousness. Police said he took himself to the hospital the following day. Sacramento police began their investigation after being called to the hospital.The man died at the hospital on Sunday, police said. His name has not been released.Officers have canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence, police said. The motive behind the attack is unknown at this time.Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-808-5471.
