Nash & Proper announces brick-and-mortar location in downtown Sacramento
A popular fried chicken food truck will soon have a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the space formerly filled by vegetarian restaurant Mother.
Nash & Proper, known for its Nashville-style fried chicken, is slated to open at 1023 K St. this spring.
Cecil Rhodes II and Jake Bombard, Sacramento chefs and Nash & Proper co-owners, were the winners of the 2019 Calling All Dreamers small business competition. As part of that victory, Nash & Proper's storefront opening is getting a boost via a business startup package from the Downtown Sacramento Foundation.
"We are committed to keeping this location a top destination for delicious food!” Rhodes said in a statement.
Earlier this month, the award-winning restaurant Mother announced it would close after a seven-year run on K Street. Fans of the restaurant will still be able to get some of the restaurant's favorite dishes by heading to the nearby Empress Tavern, which is underneath the Crest Theatre.
