ARE SEEING ALL THESE PROTESTS. >> WHEN I SEE THESE PROTESTS, I SEE A CRY FOR JUSTICE. STEPHANIE: TONIGHT, LEADERS OF SOME SACRAMENTO BLACK ORGANIZATIONS RESPONDING TO SCENES LIKE THESE. TENSE MOMENTS UNFOLDING ON SACRAMENTO STREETS THIS WEEKEND IN RESPONSE TO THE DEATH OF GEORGE FLOYD. THE CALIFORNIA BLACK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SHARING THIS -- >> WE NEED OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS IN SACRAMENTO TO MAKE ACTIONS THAT PROVE TO SACRAMENTANS THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE AHEAD OF THE GAME WHEN IT COMES TO CHANGE. ABOLISHING OF POLICE BRUTALITY. STEPHANIE: CALLING THE DEMONSTRATIONS NECESSARY, BUT ASKING PROTESTORS TO KEEP THE PEACE. >> WE DON’T WANT BUSINESSES ANY MORE INJURED THAN THEY HAVE BEEN BY COVID. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET PAST THE FRUSTRATION AND HAVE REAL AND MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS. >> ALTHOUGH WE FEEL WE DO HA THE RIGHT AS CITIZENS TO PROTEST PEACEFULLY, WE DO NOT SUPPORT THE VIOLENT ACTIONS ON WHAT’S GOING ON TODAY. STEPHANIE: THE SACRAMENTO CHAPTER OF BLACKS IN GOVERNMENT CONDEMNING THE AGGRESSIVE ACTIONS OF THOSE THEY CALL THE 1%. >> I AM ACTUALLY APPALLED BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS. WE MADE THE POINT, AND LET’S NOT TARNISH IT BY VIOLENCE.
