Sacramento home erupts in flames 2 times in a day
WEBVTT LETICIA: LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE THIS FIRE UNDER CONTROL. WE STILL SEE SOME SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE ROOF. THIS ACTUALLY STARTED AS A KITCHEN FIRE LAST NIGHT AT 11 P.M. WHEN SACRAMENTO FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED. THEY SAY THEY QUICKLY PUT THE FIRE OUT. THEY WERE HERE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, THEN THEY GOT ANOTHER CALL THIS MORNING THAT THIS HOUSE WAS ON FIRE ONCE AGAIN. THIS TIME, IT WAS AN ADDI -- ATTIC FIRE. MORE THAN A DOZEN FIREFIGHTERS CAME OUT. THEY ARE QUICKLY WORKING ON THIS FIRE AND THEY SAY THE HOME THEY BE STANDING AT, BUT THE INSIDE IS COMPLETELY DAMAGED. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE FAMILY EVACUATED LAST NIGHT WHEN THAT INITIAL KITCHEN FIRE STARTED SO THEY WERE NOT HOME WHEN THE SECOND FIRE BROKE OUT HERE IN THE HOME. EVERYONE GOT OUT SAFELY BUT THE HOME IS DAMAGED. WE UNDERSTAND THE FAMILY DOES HAVE INSURANCE. FIREFIGHTERS PLANNED TO BE HERE FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS CLEANING UP THE SCENE. UNFORTUNATELY, THE HOME IS PRETTY MUCH FLOODED.
