Sheriff: 2 injured in Sacramento shooting
Two people were injured in a shooting in Sacramento on Saturday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were responding to a report of gunshots near Florin Road and Stockton Boulevard at around 1 p.m.
The person who called said that their car was struck by gunfire and multiple other cars had attempted to flee the area, officials said.
Deputies found multiple shell casings at the intersection of 65th Street and Stockton Boulevard, officials said. They were able to make contact with the person who originally reported the incident, officials said.
No one in the caller’s vehicle was hit, the sheriff’s office said.
At around 1:20 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department said two other people went to the Kaiser South Emergency Department with gunshot wounds, but their conditions are unknown.
