This time of year can be especially difficult for families struggling to make ends meet.

Right now the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls is over-capacity. The homeless shelter is setting up extra cots to make room for everyone.

All seven of the family rooms are also full.

“We turn them over very quickly. If somebody moves out on a Tuesday, usually it’s clean the next day and it’s full on Thursday,” Bishop Dudley Development Coordinator Amanda Stidd said.

Friday on Eye on KELOLAND, hear from a Sioux Falls family who has had to spend the holidays at the homeless shelter.
