Driver assaulted on A28 Canterbury Road in Ashford after crash between Ford Transit van and Peugeot

A driver suffered facial injuries following an alleged road rage attack close to a former hotel.

Police are investigating after a silvery blue Peugeot and white Ford Transit van collided in Canterbury Road in Kennington, Ashford.

Officers say two men got out of the white van and assaulted the Peugeot driver.

The cars were both travelling towards Canterbury just past the junction with The Street, close to the former Croft Hotel, at the time of the incident.

The victim suffered injuries to his face during the assault and was taken to hospital.

It happened at about 5.30pm last Wednesday.

Police say the driver and passenger of the van had left the scene before officers arrived.
