Canterbury: teen suffers facial injuries after St George's Street assault

A teenager had to be taken to hospital after being punched by a stranger in Canterbury city centre.

The victim, a man in his late teens, was reportedly assaulted after brushing shoulders with another man in St George's Street on Sunday between 2 and 2.30am.

He suffered injuries to his face after the single punch knocked him to the ground.

The assailant was described as a "white man with a short ginger beard" and was wearing a grey jumper, jeans and a black coat.

Police are asking any witnesses who have yet to speak to an officer to come forward.
