A federal judge sentenced an Omaha man to seven years in prison Tuesday for physically assaulting a woman to ensure she would participate in acts of prostitution, according to a news release by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa.Terrance Terrell Jackson, Sr., age 40, was convicted of "Sex Trafficking Involving Force".In addition to seven years in prison, Jackson will face an addition seven years of supervised release.According to U.S. Attorney Marc Krickbaum, Jackson placed internet ads offering a woman only identified as "Savannah" for acts of prostitution, dating back to late 2017.Investigators also say Jackson physically assaulted the woman to ensure she would participate. "Savannah's" injuries were serious enough to require hospitalization on several occasions. In May, 2018, an undercover officer placed an internet advertising offering sexual services "Savannah" and arranged a meeting at a Lincoln hotel.Only after "Savannah's" arrest, did investigators learn of Jackson's involvement. He routinely drove "Savannah" to locations in Omaha and Council Bluffs for acts of prostitution.The FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force, and police departments from Lincoln, Omaha, and Council Bluffs were part of the investigation.
