One person was injured in an apparent shooting early Tuesday in an Omaha apartment building near 47th Avenue and Lafayette Street, police said.Police were called to the building around 4:30 a.m.Police said a man in an apartment, Arnoldo Batt-Coc, 32, told officers that two white men forced their way into the apartment, showed a gun and asked for a person who was not in the apartment.The men fled on foot, police said.As police were investigating, they said they were flagged down by a person who said his friend had been shot nearby.Officers said they found Patrick Pierce, 28, inside another apartment and Pierce was taken to Nebraska Medicine with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses stated a group was hanging out in the apartment when they heard a knock at the door. When the door was opened, two white men entered and demanded drugs and money. During the ordeal, Pierce was shot numerous times, police said.Officers said they found evidence of narcotics use at the scene.While officers were on scene investigating the shooting, they said they noticed an unresponsive man in the driver's seat of a van behind the apartment building, possibly suffering from the effects of narcotics use. The man in the van, Terry Robinson, 23, was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.
