JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A small earthquake measuring 2.3 magnitude hit near the town of Valles Mines on Saturday, Oct. 19.

According to USGS, the quake hit 20.2 miles north of Farmington, Missouri, and 4.7 miles southwest of Olympian Village, Mo.

It happened around 2:59 p.m. local time.

The quake also had a depth of 14 kilometers.
