The Bismarck City Commission has voted to continue a land annexation public hearing to the August 27 City Commission Meeting. The land in north Bismarck is earmarked for a new Costco store.

City of Bismarck Assistant City Administrator, Jason Tomanek, said in an email, "The property owner requested the public hearing be continued for two weeks to finalize the last-minute details of the project."

The 23-acre tract of land is undeveloped at this time, but the annexation is the next step for the store that plans to open in late summer of 2020. This would be Costco's second location in North Dakota, with the other in Fargo.
