The Bismarck Parks and Recreation District is looking for ideas on a new indoor recreation complex.

A facilities master plan showed a building is necessary to meet some programming needs. Executive Director Randy Bina says that study also talked about replacing the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center.

If that happens, all those amenities would be in the new facility, and possibly expanded. The district is looking for community feedback on what exactly they want and need out of a new facility.

“If it's soccer played during the winter season on indoor turf, or lacrosse or football all of those things, baseball, that's what the community was telling us to do,” Bina said.

There's an open house until 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Capital Ice Complex for public input. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a presentation on initial plans.
