Bismarck man arrested for domestic violence, aggravated assault

Morton County authorities say they arrested a Bismarck man Monday on suspicion of domestic violence and aggravated assault.

They say 42-year-old Daniel Lagace took a 39-year-old woman to the hospital, saying she had suffered head injuries in a low speed crash.

Doctors say the woman's injuries were not consistent with a crash, and they called law enforcement.

Using security video, detectives were able to identify Lagace, who had left the woman behind.

The woman's injuries were severe enough to require surgery.
