A Bismarck man is accused of sending sexual text messages to a teenage girl.

Police arrested 25-year-old Reed Peterson after a 15-year-old reported to police she was receiving flirtatious and sexual messages from him.

The affidavit says Bismarck detectives posed as the girl starting on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Peterson made sexual remarks and asked if the girl had ever snuck out. He texted the victim he wanted to see her Wednesday night and said “you’d be okay if things happened?”

Police arrested Peterson. During questioning he told police he regretted it.

“I took total advantage of being older and being a trustworthy figure, which now I won’t be,” said Peterson to police.

Peterson is charged with luring minors by computer.

A judge set his bond at $25,000, no internet usage, and no contact with the victim or minors.
