A 36-year-old Bismarck man is in jail Sunday night, facing seven different charges after leading police on a chase Sunday afternoon.

A Burleigh County Sheriff's deputy says they were called to a reckless driver and possible drunk driver on 1804 South at around 5:00 p.m.

The deputy says law enforcement attempted to pull over the car near Lincoln, but the driver fled. He led police on a low speed chase for a few miles before finally coming to a stop. Deputies had to use non-lethal methods to get him out of the car, as he was refusing.

The man faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment with extreme indifference, resisting arrest, fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, DUI, and disorderly conduct.

Officers from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Lincoln Police Department, and the Bismarck Police Department assisted the Burleigh County Sheriff's Department in the chase.
