The Bismarck man accused of pretending to be a bondsman was arrested last week and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Twenty-three-year-old Akeem Foster is accused of stealing more than $2,000 while posing as a bondsman around Bismarck.

Investigators say Foster was claiming to be a bail bond agent using different aliases and stole from multiple victims.

In early August, police had a warrant out for his arrest. Foster was arrested Thursday and a judge set his bond and made an order of no contact with the victims and must remain in the state.

Foster’s preliminary hearing is next month.
