A Bismarck woman has been given a deferred sentence after pleading guilty to stealing $7,000 from a local bank.
Twenty-four-year-old Katie Walter pleaded guilty to one count of theft and another of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On March 6, Walter admitted to a BNC National Bank Operations Manager that she had taken $8,000 from her cash drawer while working there. She was arrested the same day after she admitted it to police as well.
When the bank totaled her drawer, the loss was closer to $7,000
Walter has been placed on supervised probation for 3 years and must pay $8,000 in restitution.
