UPDATE: Structure fire in Bismarck
East Front Avenue in Bismarck was temporarily closed after a structure fire. Bismarck Fire Department responded to Fertilawn Inc. on the 2300 block of E Front Ave. around 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon for a report of smoke and heavy fire.
No one was inside at the time of the fire but BFD says the fire was not involved with any chemicals stored in the building, so no evacuations were needed.
Residents in the area say they saw heavy black smoke before road barriers were put up.
"I was over by the library waiting to get on the CAT bus, and some kids coming running down the street and I'm like, 'what do you hear?' because I heard the sirens, and they said that they see a lot of smoke," said Randee Sailer, Bismarck resident.
No one was injured. It is believed to be accidental in nature.
