The Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne hosted their 11th annual Chili Challenge fundraiser at Little America Hotel on Friday, Jan. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Over 42 teams registered for the event with 50 different types of chili for attendees to taste. In addition to the chili, there was ice cream, corn bread, and adult beverages. Teams competed for the best-tasting chili and best decorated booth as the theme was Superheroes.

The first place winner for both green and white chili was Jackalope Jacks Plumbing and Heating with Little America taking first place in the red chili category.

The family friendly event included live music, a photo booth, silent auction, and balloon animals. The money raised will go towards the $10 annual fee per child that goes towards education opportunities, development, and healthy snacks for the children ages 6-18.

“The community has really taken care of the club and we’re so grateful for the support they’ve given us,” said Dustin McKen, President of Directors at the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne.

Tickets were available ahead of time or could be purchased at the door and each team participating paid a $100 entry fee.
