Tourism in Wyoming

The leisure and hospitality sector is the largest private sector employer in Wyoming.

Hoping to continue to improve the second largest industry in the state, the Wyoming Governor’s Hospitality and Tourism Conference gives people in those jobs a chance to interact. Diane Shober, the Wyoming Office of Tourism Executive Director, said people come together, “To learn from one another and to elevate collectively our skillset and to learn to be more effective marketers.”

With the 150th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage in the state, there a chance to really tie that in to marketing. Shober said, “Really talking to women about their families and the things that they value most and how you can have that in your wyoming vacation experience. Is where the marriage of this act itself, an act of government and the office of tourism really works to bring people to wyoming.”
