Honolulu firefighters responded to a two-alarm townhouse fire in Kapolei early Tuesday morning.

The blaze broke out at a townhouse on Namahoe Street around 2:30 a.m.

The first unit arrived at 2:28 a.m. to find a single-story townhouse with flames visible from the front.

Officials said two adult males and one adult female were alerted to the fire by visible smoke and safely escaped without injuries. 

The fire was brought under control at 2:51 a.m. and fully extinguished at 3:30 a.m.

The fire is currently under investigation and damage estimates are not available at this time.  

One dog was able to escape the townhouse while their second dog died in the fire.
