A Honolulu police officer who was reported missing was found dead on Friday.
Police say the car of Javier Santiago, Jr. went off the side of the Mililani Tech Park offramp.
The offramp was closed in the afternoon while officers investigated.
Santiago was last seen leaving Mililani Mauka Shopping Center just after midnight Thursday.
The State of Hawaii Police Officers Union says Santiago had recently graduated from the police academy and was in the field training program, which new officers go through.
Santiago was 26 years old.
