1 injured, 1 in custody after downtown Seattle shooting

SEATTLE — A man was seriously injured and another was taken into custody after a shooting Thursday afternoon in downtown Seattle.

Seattle police said the shooting happened at Fourth Avenue and Pine Street after 1:35 p.m.

Investigators said when arrived at the scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds to both of his legs. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

A man was arrested nearby and a gun was recovered.

Police said they are investigating whether a narcotics transaction may have preceded the shooting.
