30th annual Boise Pride Fest begins Friday

BOISE, Idaho — The 30th annual Boise Pride Fest kicks off Friday with a bunch of fun events planned over the course of the two-day event.

A pride flag raising kicks off the event at noon at Boise City Hall. There will be live music at Cecil D. Andrus Park across the street from the Capitol building at 4 p.m., wrapping up with a fireworks show around 10:30 p.m. Music guests include Red Light Challenge and Jaimie Wilson.

On Saturday, a rally is planned at the State Capitol building at 9 a.m. followed by a parade at 10 a.m. A festival is planned all day at Cecil D. Andrus park with several platforms and performers planned. An after party for the adults will start at 9 p.m. at the Svedka Lounge at Fatty's.

On Sunday, a Recovery Brunch is set to start at 11 a.m. at the Amsterdam Lounge.
