BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Autocross season has come to an end.

"Autocross is a somewhat unique form of motorsports. Technically, it's not racing--it's actually a time trial because you don't have cars out on the course together banging fenders or anything," said Jeff McVey. "It's also unique in that every day the course is different. There is no practice in the cars prior to the race."

Some consider Autocross to be one of the more difficult forms of motorsports.

"It's all about balance and precision of the tool that you're using to go fast," said Autocross racer, Austin Clark. "My wife had a little daily driver and we saw what was going on down here, and we came out and tried and we were immediately hooked."

For McVey, the end of the season is sad, but he's already looking forward to next year.

"We'll have withdrawal symptoms until next spring because it is a lot of fun. Even though the speeds we reach aren't that great--considering they're in a parking lot--it's pretty darn fast!" said McVey.
