Surprise, after surprise after surprise!

Multiple people started reaching out to 11 News this week to inform us strangers were paying off their Layaway costs at Walmarts in Colorado. Through Layaway at Walmart, customers can purchase higher-end products and make monthly payments on the items.

Someone reached out to 11 news on Thursday, stating he wanted to get the word out that a lot of the Layaway items in Fountain were taken care of! He wanted to remain anonymous and just wanted to make sure the families were aware.

The anonymous gifter dropped about $1,800 to handle the costs for multiple families.

This comes on the heels of multiple folks paying off Layaway costs for people they didn't even know at a Colorado Springs Walmart.

"I was in disbelief," Kelly Wayss explained after she found out her Layaway was paid off by someone else. "Basically I was like this can't be real and I did check my text messages through Walmart and it was very real thing!"

This type of gesture is taking place across the country.

"It’s especially touching when customers pay off others’ layaways during the holiday season and serves as another example of the generosity our customers show year-round," Senior Manager for Walmart's corporate Communications Tara Aston wrote to 11 News on behalf of her company. "We’re honored to play a small role in these acts of kindness and we love seeing the joy it brings to our customers this time of year.”

Multiple people weren't able to hold back their emotions when they received the good news.

"I did tear up," Wayss stated. "I was extremely happy that somebody would take the time out of their life and the money to do such a great thing."

Wayss had a balance of about $86 and all but about $12 was paid off.

"I mostly want to say whoever you are," Wayss said. "Thank you so much. You've blessed me and my little 6-year-old son and made our Christmas that much better so thank you very much."
