Sand Creek High School was evacuated for a fire Wednesday morning and an arrest was made.

Colorado Springs Police are reporting a 14-year-old boy was charged with first-degree arson, interference with staff, faculty or students of educational institutions. The suspect was not identified due to his age. Police were able to identify him thanks to security footage.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the fire started in the boy's bathroom on the lower level.

Officials also say the fire was put out upon arrival.

Students were sent home and no injuries have been reported at this time.

School is expected to be back open on Thursday.
