A Colorado Springs man was killed in a crash on I-25 on Tuesday near Pueblo.

According to Colorado State Patrol, a 2005 Ford Escape was traveling southbound on I-25 when its driver's side tires went off the left side of the road. The driver tried to get back on the highway, causing the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise before going off the right side of the road and rolling two times.

The driver, 31-year-old Cimone Hill from Colorado Springs, was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital where he died. Investators believe he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The passenger, 30-year-old Tara Saunders of Colorado Springs, reportedly had "moderate injuries" and was taken to Parkview Medical Hospital. Colorado State Patrol is reporting she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
