A husband is facing murder charges after his wife's body was found inside a northeast Springs home Sunday afternoon.

Police announced Monday they had arrested 42-year-old Fredrick Young in connection with the death of 39-year-old Jennifer Young.

Young's body was found Sunday afternoon by officers, who had been called to investigate a possible death inside a home near Austin Bluffs and Dublin.

"Officers ... were informed of a potential deceased party here at an address on the 6000 block of Bow River Drive," said police department spokesperson Lt. Jim Sokolik. "Officers responded to that location, did have to force entry into the residence, and did locate a deceased female."

Investigators remained on scene into early Monday morning, clearing the scene just before 6 a.m. Hours later, the police department announced Fredrick Young's arrest on first-degree murder charges.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call CSPD at 719-444-7000. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
