Escaped Lincoln inmate captured in Texas; another still on the run

 An escaped Lincoln inmate was arrested after leading authorities on a six-mile chase in Texas, corrections officials said.

 An escaped Lincoln inmate was arrested after leading authorities on a six-mile chase in Texas, corrections officials said.

Brandon Britton, who along with fellow inmate Ronald Taylor, left their electronic monitoring devices lying in the area of Highway 77 and W. Van Dorn St. on May 21, was taken into custody by authorities in Franklin County, Texas. Both were being kept in the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln.

Britton (pictured on left) has been charged with felony evading arrest along with other misdemeanors. He was serving a 10-year sentence in Nebraska for first-degree assault, drug and weapons charges.

Taylor, who has not been arrested and whose whereabouts are unknown according to officials, is serving time for assault and drug charges.

Taylor (pictured on right) is described as a 52-year old white man, 6’2”, 255 lbs., with auburn hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Taylor’s whereabouts should contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
